FILTRATION TEST

PROCEDURE

  1. Prepare a clean, smooth, transparent and sealable jar with enough capacity to capture at least 500ml. You will need to be able to clearly see through the jar.
  2. Take your urine sample from the first bladder release of the morning.
  3. Seal the sample in the jar and leave it to settle in an area away from sunlight, unmoved, for 8-12hrs.
  4. Once the time has passed, carefully move the sample to view in good lighting with a solid, light coloured backdrop.
  5. Agitate the sample by swirling it like a wine connoisseur, and see what spins up from the bottom.
You are looking for sediment and mucus. This can look like dust or sand in the sample, blobs, cotton threads, chunks, cloud-like portions that don't allow you to see through the sample. Capture your observations in the fields below.
Make the following observations upon collecting the sample:
Is Foam Present When Taking the Sample
Foaming will look like a badly poured beer head, not to be confused with surface level air bubbles.
Is the Colour
Is the Smell
The smell can be observed as the bladder is being released, it does NOT require you to stick your nose in the sample.
Once adequate time has passed, observe and record the following upon agitating the sample (swirl like a wine tester in good light with a light coloured backdrop for the best view).
Sediment Present?
Mucus Present?
Look for jelly like blobs in the sample, or a thick 'detergent' like consistency. A sample that is opaque, or has notable opaque patches through would certainly contain mucus.
If you need assistance interpreting your urine sample, please record a clear video of the sample from resting to agitation against a clear sky, or bright white backdrop, and send to your Ihh coach. they will assist you.

BIOMETRIC DATA

in the sections below, Please record your resting blood pressures and basal temperatures from each arm, along with your current body weight and PH position.
BLOOD PRESSURE
  • Take 3 Consecutive readings first thing of a morning, seated and before any food, drink or activity.
  • The fields required to capture the data will open in the form as you make your entries.
Record format: Systolic/Diastolic/HR
Record format: Systolic/Diastolic/HR
BASAL TEMPERATURE

Using a probe style thermometre (digital or murcury), take your base temperature reading from under each arm pit and record the data below.

Record your Axial (armpit) temp in degrees C or degrees F
Record your Axial (armpit) temp in degrees C or degrees F
Record in KG or LBS
Use a new PH indicator strip to take a reading of your saliva. Record the colour and corresponding PH number in this field.
Use a new PH indicator strip to take a reading of your urine. Record the colour and corresponding PH number in this field.
Confirm your Phase Report is complete
Keep a record of your observations for future correlations & comparisons.
